President Boakai Extols Ghana on 69th Independence Day Anniversary

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in his own name, extended warm felicitations to His Excellency Mr. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, and the Government and people of Ghana on the occasion of the 69th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Ghana.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, in a message conveyed to his Ghanaian counterpart, President Boakai reflected on Ghana’s long but determined journey toward sustainable development and democratic consolidation, noting with pride the remarkable progress and democratic gains the country has achieved over the years.

The Liberian Leader expressed hope that the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between the two sisterly nations and peoples will be further strengthened as they continue to collaborate within the framework.

 “I entertain the hope that the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between our two nationals and peoples will be further strengthened as we work together to advance cooperation at the United Nations, as well as the African Union, and the Economic Community of West African States, and other international organizations, aimed at promoting peace, security, and development across the globe”, President Boakai said.

President Boakai prayed that the Almighty God will continue to endow President Mahama with abundant wisdom and strength as he leads the people of Ghana toward greater prosperity, and extended best wishes for sustained peace and progress for the Republic of Ghana.
