President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf over the weekend sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the United Mexican States on the occasion marking the 202nd Independence Anniversary of that country.

In her message, President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of Liberia extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to President Felipe Calderon, and through him, to the Government and People of Mexico as they observe this historic event.

While expressing joy over the occasion President Johnson Sirleaf hoped and prayed that the longstanding friendship and mutual cooperation subsisting between Liberia and Mexico will   continue to grow as both countries work together for the advancement of democracy, and sustainable economic development.

The Liberia leader then wished for Honorable Felipe Calderon continued good health and happiness as he steers the affairs of his people. She also wished for the people of Mexico God’s blessings of peace, unity and prosperity.
