The Liberian President His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah has sent a message of condolence to His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the death of President Shehu Usman Shagari, Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

 

 

In the message to his Nigerian counterpart His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President George Manneh Weah extended profound sadness and deep sorrow on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in his own name.

 

According toa Foreign Ministry Release, the Liberian President noted that the former President Shagari will be remembered as a global statesman and for his contributions to our Continent and the world at large, he  extends to the bereaved family heartfelt condolences for the irreparable loss sustained as they go through this  period of national mourning

 

President Weah then extends his fervent prayer that the Almighty Allah will continue to grant President Buhari and the People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria strength, courage and fortitude during this difficult time of mourning.
