President Johnson-Sirleaf Congratulates Ivory Coast

The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has sent a message of Congratulations to the Government and People of the Republic Cote D’Ivoire on the auspicious occasion marking the 49th Independence Anniversary of that great country.
In the message to Her Ivorian counterpart, His Excellency President Laurent Gbagbo, President Johnson-Sirleaf extended heartfelt congratulations and sincerest best wishes, to the Ivorian leader, and through him, to the Government and people of Cote D’Ivoire on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in her own name.
President Johnson-Sirleaf stresses that the bond friendship subsisting between Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
The Liberian leader then prayed that as Liberia joined in celebrating the Ivorian historic event, the people of Cote D’Ivoire will enjoy the blessings of peace, stability and prosperity under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency President Laurent Gbagbo and further strengthening the relations between the two countries for mutual benefits.
