The President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Thursday and Friday, March 3rd and 4th, 2011, received in audience several Ambassadors-designate, with residence in Abidjan, Accra, Stockholm and Abuja presenting their Letters of Credence.
According to a Foreign Ministry press release, those Ambassadors received in audience by H.E. Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011 include Mr. Enrique Fernando Arrundell James, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Venezuela and Mr. Miroslav Machalek, Ambassador-designate of the Czech Republic.
The Ambassadors-designate of the Republic of Venezuela and the Czech Republic presented their Letters of Credence at 12 midday and 1:15 p.m., respectively in the office of the President at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On Friday, the President received in audience Mr. David Vogelsanger, Ambassador-designate, Switzerland; Mr. Per Carlson, Ambassador-designate, Kingdom of Sweden; and Mr. Luis Alberto German Barrero Stahl, Ambassador-designate, Mexico.
Also to be received for the purpose of presenting their Letters of Credence are Mr. Patrick Fay, Ambassador-designate, Republic of Ireland and Mr. Rui Alberto Manuppeella Tereno, Ambassador-designate, Republic of Portugal.
According to Friday’s protocol, Ambassadors-designate of Switzerland, Kingdom of Sweden and Mexico presented their Letters of Credence at 10:00 am, 12:00 midday, and 1:00 p.m. respectively; while the Ambassadors-designate of the Republics of Ireland and Portugal presented their Letters of Credence at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. respectively.
The ceremoniesl take place in the office of the President at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
